Wisconsin Firefighter Collapses, Dies

Athelstane Firefighter Bob Phillips was battling a chimney fire.

A Marinette County firefighter died late Thursday night while fighting a fire.

The Athelstane fire chief tells Action 2 News that 64-year-old Bob Phillips died from a heart attack.

It happened while Athelstane crews were fighting a chimney fire that started around 11:30.

Phillips was a volunteer firefighter for three years.

Funeral Information

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 31, from 4:00 until 8:00 PM at the Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha, WI.

Services continue on Thursday, November 1, with visitation at the funeral home from 9:00 AM until the 10:00 AM Funeral Service.

Burial will follow at the City of Delafield Cemetery. Memorials to the Athelstane Volunteer Fire Department.
