PERKINS TOWNSHIP, Ohio --

A Perkins Township garden center caught fire Thursday.

The blaze broke out before 6 a.m. at the Corso's Flower & Garden Center near Sandusky in Erie County. Officials said two greenhouses were destroyed.

No one was injured in the fire.

U.S. Highway 250 was closed for about four hours, backing up traffic trying to get to Cedar Point.

Firefighters from Perkins, Sandusky, Huron and Margaretta battled the blaze.

The company's Web site says the garden center has been in business since 1941.
