VANCLEAVE, Miss. (AP) -- Authorities are investigating a weekend fire that destroyed a Jackson County home and apparently claimed two lives.

The home was owned by Louis and Wanda Bouchard. Investigators found skeletal remains while searching through ashes and rubble Sunday morning.

The wood-frame home, located in the Wooded Acres community in Vancleave, was fully engulfed in flames Saturday afternoon when firefighters arrived.

Jackson County Coroner Vicki Broadus says DNA testing will probably be used to identify the remains.

''It's too early to tell if it's foul play at this point,'' Sheriff Mike Byrd said. ''Certainly, we're going to continue to investigate.''
