STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) -- A 5-year-old boy was killed Saturday when the mobile home he was in caught fire and burned, authorities said.

Capt. Dale Parrish said firefighters were dispatched about 12:35 p.m. to the fire in Valley View northwest of Stillwater. When they arrived, the front part of the home was engulfed in flames.

Firefighters found the child inside. The boy, whose name was not released, was taken to Stillwater Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

Parrish said the cause of the fire has not been determined and the state fire marshal is investigating.

Eric Seeliger, a battalion chief for the Stillwater Fire Department, said the only other person on the property when firefighters arrived was a teen-ager, who was in another building.

Seeliger said he believed at least one guardian or parent arrived on the scene while firefighters were still there.
