NORCROSS, Ga. (AP) -- A fire that may have started in a Christmas tree injured five people and displaced 14 families from an apartment complex.

Four of those injured at the building in Norcross on Saturday were taken to hospitals with burns or other trauma. None of the injuries was considered life-threatening.

Gwinnett County Fire Department spokesman Thomas Rutledge said the fire may have started in a Christmas tree.

By the time firefighters arrived, six of the building's 16 units were engulfed in flames. By the time it was over, eight units were destroyed.

The Red Cross was assisting residents of the building find temporary housing.
