A house fire apparently killed one person early today in rural Cass County.
Pleasant Hill Fire Rescue responded to a house fire reported about 3:11 a.m. near Pleasant Hill. Firefighters found a body while attacking the blaze in the 30 block of Murray Road.
Neither the cause of death, nor the cause of the fire had been determined.
Authorities are withholding the victim's name until relatives are notified.
The fire is being investigated by Pleasant Hill Fire Rescue and the Missouri Fire Marshal's Office.
