Broward Sheriff's Office firefighters discovered a ''grow house'' with 52 marijuana plants when they responded to a small electrical fire outside of the Weston home on Monday.

Now BSO is looking for the renters of the home.

Neighbors spotted flames shooting out of an exteriorelectrical meter box on the north side of the Weston Hills Country Club home, 2424 Deer Creek Rd.

Shortly after 8:30 a.m. BSO Fire Rescue was dispatched.

After extinguishing the flames, BSO firefighters used a thermal imaging camera to determine if the fire had spread to the rest of the structure. After several areas were identified as ''hot,'' firefighters forced the front door open.

Inside they found a large hole in an interior concrete wall with large black wires coming up from it and running into the residence.

''You could tell something was up,'' said Liz Calzadilla, spokeswoman for BSO.

BSO detectives were called in, and they discovered the medium-sized marijuana plants growing throughout the house. Also found were special lighting equipment, fans, electrical wiring and other supplies, BSO said.

Deputies also found numerous carbon dioxide canisters and some potentially hazardous materials.
