Indiana Fire Chief Arrested For Alleged Battery

According to an Indiana State Police report, Tippecanoe Volunteer Fire Department Fire Chief Keith McIntire allegedly struck a juvenile with a bat.
A firefighter has been arrested for alleged battery.

The arrested man is Keith McIntire, who is the chief of the Tippecanoe Volunteer Fire Department where he lives.

An Indiana State Police report says two minors were involved in a verbal argument. The report goes on to say McIntire allegedly struck a juvenile with a bat.

The teens say that strike caused bruising. At the time of the incident, McInitire

allegedly said it was in self-defense. NewsCenter 16 was unable to reach McIntire at his home and by phone.
