There's a recall on some electric heating units. The good news is, it's summertime so a lot of them probably aren't in use. The bad news is, a lot of consumers might not check their heaters that are packed away from the season, only to start using the potentially dangerous heaters in the winter.

Vornado Air Circulation Systems is recalling one million portable electric room heaters because of a faulty connection that can spark a fire.

The models included in the recall are about a foot tall and bear the numbers 180-VH, VH, EVH or DVH, or the product name, Intellitemp.

The government advises consumers to stop using the heaters and contact the company for free shipping and repairs.
