2004 Grants To Continue Soon

September 30, 2004, was the end of the 2004 Federal fiscal year, as such, the Department of Homeland Security must close their 2004 books and re-program the 2005 funding. No awards can be made until the 2005 accounts are established. This does NOT mean that we are not continuing to process applications for awarding as soon as the funds become available. The week that the funding becomes available, the nation's fire service can expect an award announcement of over 1,000 grants.
