Two firefighters suffered minor injuries when a tree fell on them late Tuesday afternoon in Chester, a fire official said.

Firefighters arrived on the 1000 block of Kerlin Street about 5 p.m. to deal with a tree that fell on a house. In the process, the tree fell further, knocking down some wires and hurting the firefighters.

They were both taken to Crozer-Chester Medical Center. One was treated and released, and the other was kept overnight for observation.
