WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Firefighters spent hours battling flames inside a warehouse.
The fire started late Wednesday night on Morse Street in Northeast Washington.
The building houses storage space for a large number of businesses. It appears the structure has a concrete roof and walls, which made it much more difficult for firefighters to get inside safely.
Currently, the street is closed to traffic in the 1200 block of 4th St NE.
Four unoccupied buildings have been condemned, say police. Pepco has cut the power in the block.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the fire.
