March 13--TASLEY -- Fire destroyed an abandoned motel late Tuesday on the Eastern Shore.
About 9:30 p.m., firefighters were called to the 23300 block of Tasley Road where the old Whispering Pines Motel was burning, according to Virginia State Police.
A preliminary investigation determined that fire appears to be arson.
More than 60 fires have been reported on the Eastern Shore since mid-November.
A $25,000 reward is offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction in the arsons. Information can be reported by calling or texting 757-655-1437.
