Four Fla. Firefighters Treated After Pesticide Exposure

Four firefighters, a wrecker operator and two civilians were hospitalized after a wreck involving a truck carrying pesticides in Manatee County.

Four firefighters working at the scene of a crash in Manatee County, Fla., were exposed to a hazardous gas while working at the scene of a wreck that involved a truck carrying pesticides on Friday morning.

According to a news account broadcast by the local television station, Bay News 9, the firefighters and a wrecker driver were all transported to the hospital for treatment after the crash.

They were all taken to Lakewood Ranch Medical Center. Two other patients were transported to Blake Medical Center in Bradenton.
