July 13--A Palm Beach County Fire Rescue firefighter sustained minor injuries Friday night while fighting a fire in Loxahatchee, the agency said today.
The firefighter was transported to Palms West Hospital in Loxahatchee, said Capt. Jody Marlow, Fire Rescue spokesman.
The extent and type of injuries were unknown, Marlow said, other than they were neither smoke- nor heat-related.
The fire in a detached garage started shortly before 11 p.m. in the 16000 block of Goldcup Drive East, south of Okeechobee Boulevard and east of Seminole Pratt Whitney Road.
