Ex-NH Firefighter Arrested in Pa. on Arson Charges

A former New Hampshire firefighter was arrested on was arrested on two counts of arson as he was released from a Pennsylvania hospital.

July 13--A man wanted on an arrest warrant in New Hampshire for two counts of arson was apprehended today in Erie by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force.

Acting on a tip, investigators arrested Donald Dubbs, 58, of Lee, N.H., as he was being discharged from an Erie hospital, authorities said.

Dubbs was being treated for an unknown medical problem, authorities said.

Dubbs, a former firefighter, is accused of starting fires on July 1 at an occupied building and an unoccupied building in Lee.

Dubbs was placed in Erie County Prison.

Members of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force that assisted in the arrest included the Erie County Detectives Bureau and deputy U.S. marshals.
