Lighter Play Displaces 65 at Wis. Women's Shelter

A child playing with a lighter caused a fire in an Appleton domestic violence shelter that displaced 65 residents.

July 15--A weekend fire at an Appleton domestic violence shelter was caused by a child playing with a lighter, according to the Appleton Post Crescent.

The fire began about 9 p.m. Saturday at the Harbor House and displaced 65 residents, who were still unable to return Sunday because of water damage from the sprinkler system.
