July 17--A firefighter suffered minor injuries after falling from the second floor of a townhouse in Bel Air after a fire tore through the structure early Wednesday morning, according to Harford County fire officials.
The two-alarm fire also destroyed at least one adjacent home in the 900 block of Pentwood Road, fire officials said.
Multiple volunteer fire companies responded to the scene just before 2 a.m., and placed the fire under control about 2:30 a.m., officials said.
A second firefighter was treated at the scene for heat related illness, officials said. No one else was hurt.
Two townhomes appeared thoroughly gutted, while a third was also damaged. The American Red Cross is assisting three families, officials said.
The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
