The ex Lawrence Park fire chief was sentenced to two years of probation and ordered to pay court cost involving a charge of sexually harassing three female firefighters.

July 22--The former chief of the Lawrence Park Volunteer Fire Department was sentenced Monday in Erie County Court to serve two years probation on charges he subjected three female firefighters to unwanted sexually explicit text messages and comments.

Nicholas A. Fisher, 33, must also pay court costs, Judge John Garhart said.

The sentence came after Fisher pleaded guilty in May to two third-degree misdemeanor charges of harassment by communication. In exchange for his plea, a first-degree misdemeanor charge of stalking was amended to a third-degree misdemeanor charge of harassment.

The sentence was in the standard range of sentencing guidelines. Fisher had no prior record.

Police charged the incidents occurred between November and early February while Fisher was chief of the department.

The women said Fisher sent them sexually explicit text messages and, in some instances, made inappropriate remarks to them. They said he continued the behavior after they asked him to stop.
