There were no injuries and the Boise fire truck sustained minor damage after a 59-year-old Boise man, who was allegedly intoxicated, rear ended the parked vehicle.

July 22--BOISE -- A Boise man whom police say rear-ended a fire engine Sunday night was arrested on a felony DUI charge.

Boise firefighters were investigating a possible fire at 11 p.m. in the 9000 block of South Federal Way when the collision happened.

Peter M. Hall, 59, drove into the back of the parked engine, police said. The fire engine received minor damage, but neither firefighters nor Hall was injured in the crash.

Officers said Hall appeared intoxicated when they arrived. Hall failed several field sobriety tests and had a blood alcohol content of .18/.18 when tested at the Ada County Jail.

The man had several prior DUI convictions, making the charge a felony. He was arrested and booked into the Ada County Jail early Monday morning.

Hall will be arraigned at the Ada County Courthouse Monday afternoon.
