Ind. Firefighters Suffer Minor Injuries in Roof Collapse

The fire was under control in about 25 minutes.

July 29--Three Fort Wayne firefighters were in good condition at a local hospital after a roof collapsed during a house fire.

Fire units responded at 10:50 a.m. Sunday to a reported house fire at 6409 High Point Drive. Units found fire and smoke coming from the rear of the home and extending into the attic area, according to a news release.

Firefighters attacked the blaze inside and got it under control after 25 minutes. One house next door received minor damage due to the heat from the fire.

No one other than the firefighters was injured , according to the release.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

The Fort Wayne Police Department, American Electric Power and NIPSCO assisted at the scene.
