Sept. 14--A Coral Springs man is accused of setting his recreational vehicle on fire and filing a fraudulent insurance claim, according to a police report.

Steven Grova, 49, was charged with arson, grand theft and insurance fraud of $100,000 or more. He posted $17,500 bond Thursday, records show.

According to the report, Grova set his RV ablaze behind his business, Grova's Auto Service, in the 10000 block of Wiles Road, on Jan. 18. He filed a claim with American Security Insurance for total loss of the vehicle, valued at $112,370.

Grova was arrested Wednesday.

Investigators learned that the fire originated in four different locations within the RV and ruled it to be arson. "There were multiple fires set inside the interior of the motor home that were not caused by the natural progression of the fire," the report said.

They also found inconsistencies in Grova's story, authorities said.
