911 Call from Wife of Slain Off-duty Cleveland Firefighter Released

Cleveland Lt. William Walker, 45, was gunned down in his driveway.

Police continue to investigate the slaying of an off-duty Cleveland firefighter.

William Walker, 45, was shot several times Sunday night while walking in his driveway toward his home, according to The Plain Dealer.

The 911 call made by Walker's wife was released Monday afternoon.

Walker died at Metro-Health Medical Center.

Witnesses told police they heard shouting coming from outside the home at the time of the shooting, the paper reported.

Walker was promoted to lieutenant in August. The firefighter/EMT joined the department in 1998.
