Fire Destroys Alabama Police Office

The cause of the fire at the North Courtland police office is under investigation.

Nov. 21--NORTH COURTLAND -- The North Courtland Police Department office was destroyed by a fire this morning.

Police called in the fire about 3:30 a.m., and the North Courtland Volunteer Fire Department responded.

Fire Capt. Carl Allen said the cause of the fire isn't known, but it remains under investigation.

Courtland and Hillsboro firefighters also responded.

The police building is at Alabama 20, near where the Norfolk Southern railroad tracks cross the highway.
