Nov. 23--A Colonial Heights apartment fire that investigators believe started Friday after a child knocked over a lamp displaced eight people, including five children, an official said.
The blaze started shortly before 3:30 p.m. in the 2700 block of Martingale Road, and it took firefighters about 20 minutes to bring it under control, said Chesterfield Fire & EMS Lt. Jason Elmore. Three residents were treated for minor injuries.
