Nov. 23--GREENSBORO -- A train conductor has suffered a head injury in a crash between a 40-car freight train and a tractor-trailer, the News and Record reported Friday.

The collision is on a service road next to 3826 Burlington Road, near L&M Auto Service, Greensboro Fire Chief B.G. Weaver told the newspaper.

There were no other injuries, but the trailer -- which was carrying washer fluid -- was split in half, Weaver said. The train's locomotive was inoperable and must be towed away from the scene.
