Four Pa. Firefighters Injured in Collapse at House Fire

CARBONDALE - Four firefighters were injured today while fighting a major fire on Fallbrook Street, Carbondale Fire Chief Chris Pezak said. Two firefighters were trapped after the second floor collapsed on them. They suffered serious chest injuries, he said.

The fire at 96 Fallbrook St. was reported shortly after 11 a.m. The property is a single-family home, according to Lackawanna County assessment records.
