Md. Fire Truck Wreck Leaves Four Hurt

Bay District Engine 32 crashed on a wet road while headed to a house fire.

Four firefighters were injured early Monday when their fire truck veered off a wet road and crashed.

Bay District Engine 32 ended up on its side, and at least one firefighter was trapped, according to Southern Maryland News.net.

The crew was responding to a house fire about 3:10 a.m. when the crash occurred on Flat Iron Road in Valley Lee. 

Four firefighters were were transported from the scene to MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, the paper reported.

Three had been released as of late Monday morning.
