Mississippi firefighters battling a blaze that followed a blast at a bio-diesel plant Wednesday.

The fireball blast rocked homes two miles away, residents told WCBI reporters.

Another video shows the thick black smoke that billowed into the sky near New Albany.

There were two workers at the business when the explosion occurred, but they were not hurt.

Chemicals at the plant prevent firefighters from using traditional methods of extinguishing the blaze, the station reported.

Experts say it could take five or more hours before the product burns out. .

While non-threatening to other properties, hundreds of workers at other manufacturing plants in the area are unable to get to work. Troopers have a three-mile radius shut down.
