Alabama Camper Fire Kills Three People

A husband and wife and the woman's brother all died from injuries suffered when their camper at Cullman Campgrounds burned.

Feb. 01--VINEMONT -- A third victim has died following a Friday afternoon camper fire at Cullman Campgrounds. William Randall Mills, 54, of Moulton, died Friday night around 10:55 p.m. at the UAB Trauma and Burn Center according to Cullman County Sheriff Mike Rainey.

Mills wife, Sandra Lynn Mills, 58, of Moulton, was pronounced dead at the scene, while his brother-in-law, Erwin Dewayne Owens, 51, was transported to UAB hospital where he later died.

Witnesses reported hearing an explosion and seeing two men fleeing from the camper as it became engulfed in flames.

Authorities say Owens lived at the residence. His sister and brother-in-law were visiting.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
