Alabama Capt. Dies After Responding to Crash

A volunteer captain and EMT with South Montgomergy County Volunteer Fire Department died within 24 hours of responding.

A 64-year-old captain and EMT with the South Montgomery County Volunteer Fire Department, Ramer, died within 24 hours of responding to a motor vehicle accident of a nature and cause yet to be released.

According to the United States Fire Administration, Wayne O'Neal Jeffers died on a March 16, a day after the crash.
