Driver Trapped When Houston Ambulance Struck

The ambulance was rolled over after it was struck Friday night.

April 05--Two people were injured when a Houston Fire Department ambulance was involved in a roll-over accident Saturday morning.

The two-vehicle accident happened just after 11 a.m. near the 2600 block of Hamilton and McGowen near Midtown.

According to HFD officials, a car struck the ambulance, which was not transporting any patients at the time.

According to HFD spokesman Capt. Ruy Lozano, the driver of the ambulance, who needed to be extricated, and the driver of the civilian vehicle were taken to Memorial Hermann Hospital for their injuries.

Their injuries are not considered life threatening.
