Toronto Firefighters Call 'Mayday' at Townhouse Fire
Three firefighters called a 'Mayday' after becoming trapped in a townhouse fire Wednesday morning.
The firefighters were working inside the building and fell into the basement when the ground floor collapsed, Toronto fire officials told CTVnews reporters.
they were quickly rescued by fellow firefighters.
The captain was one of the firefighters who fell, but was able to hang onto the first floor and climb back up, remaining uninjured.
Two were transported to the hospital for smoke inhalation, while another injured her foot.
