Michigan Fire Station Burns; Cause Probed

April 11, 2014
No apparatus was damaged during the fire.

A small Michigan fire department didn't have far to go to respond early Thursday -- its own building was on fire.

The Hale assistant chief told WNEM reporters none of its equipment was damaged in the 2 a.m. fire.

Eight neighboring departments responded to assist, and it took about 90 minutes to quell the flames.

Fire officials will meet Friday with the insurance adjuster.
