Chemicals in Minn. Barn Fire Injure Two Firefighters

Two Browerville firefighters were injured early Thursday while fighting a fire at a vacant turkey barn.

May 11--BROWERVILLE -- Two Browerville firefighters were injured early Thursday while fighting a fire at a vacant turkey barn.

There were no animals in the barn, but the fire destroyed the building owned by Toddco Turkeys Inc. The firefighters were injured by chemicals that were used in the building, according to the Todd County Sheriff's Office.

The fire at 22720 Ladybug Drive was reported at 3:10 a.m. Thursday.

Fire departments from Long Prairie and Clarissa assisted. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
