The fire is being considered an arson.

May 20--PORTER -- Fire investigators suspect foul play was involved in a structure fire after three animals were found dead with gunshot wounds.

About 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Wagoner County deputies and fire crews from Porter and Tallahassee went to a residence near the 225000 block of S 365 E Avenue and found it fully engulfed in flames.

The discovery of two dead dogs and a dead horse, not burned, behind the residence with gunshot wounds prompted Wagoner County Sheriff Bob Colbert to ask the state fire marshal to investigate the blaze as an arson, said Gary Handley, spokesman for the Wagoner County sheriff's office.

Investigators are interviewing potential witnesses and persons of interest as the fire marshal's report is completed, Handley said.
