A fire set in the desert in Clark County burned at least seven people when a flammable liquid was added to the blaze.

June 10--A least seven people suffered burns overnight at a desert bonfire and were taken to an area hospital, Clark County spokesman Dan Kulin said this afternoon.

The fire, set by a group of high school students or young adults, was in the desert about 5 miles south of Horizon Ridge Parkway near Henderson. Kulin said that at some point, flammable liquid was added to the fire.

No emergency responders were called to the fire, and the seven burn victims were taken to the unnamed hospital via private vehicles.

Kulin said the Clark County Fire Department was investigating.
