Firefighter Hurt in Three-Alarm California Fourplex Fire

A firefighter suffered minor injuries in a fire that razed a San Jose fourplex fire.

June 27--SAN JOSE -- A three-alarm fire razed a fourplex near the Westfield Oakride Mall, according to fire officials.

A firefighter suffered minor injuries, and was treated and released at the scene. No one else was hurt.

The fire department was alerted at 2 p.m. Initially there were fears someone was trapped inside one of the units, according to fire Capt. Cleo Doss, but firefighters did not find anyone and they went back outside because of fears the structure could collapse.

Doss said the fire started on the first floor of one of the fourplex units. Firefighters contained it to the one structure, but the units suffered major damage.
