Aug. 20--A woman is dead following a Wednesday morning house fire in west Houston.
The blaze broke out about 10 a.m. in the 11000 block of English Rose Lane near Wilcrest, according to the Houston Fire Department.
Officials said firefighters found the woman, whose name has not been released, on the second floor of the home. Two other people were able to get out of the house on their own.
Officials said heavy flames and smoke damaged the house. Investigators are trying to determine what sparked the blaze.
