Aug. 22--LIMA -- A Lima resident didn't expect to call the fire department today when the man cutting a tree in his yard had his lift stop working.
Lorne Howden said he was having a hollow tree removed in his front yard today by Dick's Tree Service when he heard Ryan Hefner, co-owner, yelling for him to call the fire department.
Hefner said that the PTO began grinding and went out. Once the PTO goes out, the lift cannot move. The fire department came and got Hefner down a little after 12 p.m.
