Two firefighters were in a tower ladder pouring water on a former plant when a wall collapsed.

A Detroit firefighter was injured after falling from a tower ladder bucket Wednesday morning while fighting a fire at a vacant factory.

Two firefighters using Ladder 7's bucket to pour water onto a rekindled fire at the former Fisher Plant when a large section of wall collapsed.

"The front fascia of the building here, just a very small piece of it collapsed but as it was coming down, that’s where the bucket was," WWJ Bill Szumanski reported while flying overhead in helicopter. "The firefighter fell out and tumbled down maybe 10, 12 feet to the ground. They quickly administered first aid to the firefighter and got him off to the hospital."

Detroit Deputy Fire Commissioner Craig Dougherty said Nicholas Benskey, 35, was unconcious at the scene, according to MyFoxDetroit.com.

Medics treated the Benskey at the scene and transported him to the hospital where he's listed in stable condition.
