A bicylicst was injured Tuesday after a fire hose came off a responding Toledo pumper.
Toledo Engine 9 was responding to a fire around 4:30 p.m. when 150 feet of hose came off the rig, according to WTVG. It struck three cars and a bicycle.
"It may have hit a bump down the road here and lost one of its attack lines came off the back," Battalion Chief Bryce Blair told the television station. "Unfortunately the hose appears to have hit a bicyclist, that wrapped the bike and brought the bicyclist to the ground."
The bicyclist was taken to the hospital with a a broken leg.
Tim Stevenson, whose van was hit, said "the hose was hanging probably 20-25 feet behind it, wagging back and forth."
A call to 911 is what notified crews about the incident.
