Fire Consumes Chicago Factory

Chicago firefighters surrounded a factory on the city's West Side as flames engulfed the building.

Chicago firefighters spent part of Wednesday afternoon battling a 2-11 fire on the city's West Side.

Around 2 p.m., crews were called to the 4600 block of Huron Street where they found heavy smoke and fire from a one-story factory.

According to tweets from the Chicago Fire Department, part of the roof collapsed. Flames spread throughout the 50-by-100-foot building.

Video from WGN-TB showed one Snorkel and one tower ladder using master streams on the smoking building.

The fire was declared out by 3 p.m. and crews remain on the scene hitting hot spots.

No injuries have been reported.
