He was apparently upset about the treatment of a relative, who resigned.

A retired Buffalo firefighter, apparently upset about the resignation of a relative, took his frustration out on a training academy instructor.

Robert Jackson showed up Sunday morning at the Erie County Fire Training Academy to voice is disgust, according to WIVB.

He allegedly hit a training lieutenant in the face, upset about how his relative had been treated.

He was arrested at the academy and charged by Cheektowaga Police with second degree harassment with physical contact, the station reported.

This year’s class of 120 recruits didn't have to pass the CPAT test before starting the academy. And, there has been an unusually high number of failed evaluations in the first four weeks.

Recruits are paid $17 an hour during training.
