Three Charged After Fight Atop D.C. Fire Engine

The rig was stopped at a light when they jumped on and exchanged blows.

WASHINGTON (WUSA9) -- Three people have been charged after a fight on top of a D.C. fire truck that was caught on video.

According to a D.C. fire spokesperson, the incident happened at around 3:30 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of 7th Street SE and Alabama Avenue SE.

The truck was at a stoplight at the intersection when a male ran towards the truck while being chased by suspects who were after him.

The firefighters called D.C. police. The victim was treated but refused treatment.

One juvenile male was charged with assault with a dangerous weapon/other and destruction of property. Two adult males were charged with simple assault.
