Fireworks caused about $100,000 of damage to a building just west of the Mall at Wellington Green early Tuesday, according to Palm Beach County Fire spokesman Capt. Albert Borroto.
Fire crews responded at 12:39 Tuesday morning to the fire on the 2025 block of Wellington Green Drive at the closed Buca di Beppo Restaurant just south of Forest Hill Boulevard.
The building's sprinklers activated, which helped contain the fire, Borroto said.
Fire investigators also are looking into the cause of a fire that engulfed a suburban Boynton Beach garage late Monday.
When Palm Beach County Fire Rescue arrived around 10:15 p.m., the family was outside, said fire spokesman Capt. Albert Borroto. Crews found a vehicle parked in the garage fully engulfed in flames.
Crews were able to contain the fire to the garage and laundry area of the two-story home on the 7600 block of Brunson Circle at Lake Charleston, south of Hypoluxo Road and west of Jog Road, Borroto said.
There is, however, significant smoke damage throughout the home, though the fire did not spread to the living areas. The family of four has been displaced.

Fireworks also set a home ablaze in suburban Lake Worth on Brunson Circle around 11 p.m., according to officials. Everyone inside the house reportedly escaped the fire but the house could not be saved.
