A lost Dalmatian puppy wandered into the Hillsborough County Fire Rescue station in Tampa and got the royal treatment.

According to ABC News, the stray puppy “eagerly made himself part of the crew.” Firefighters gave him a bath, fed him and find his owners, although several of the firefighters showed great interest in adopting the pup if given the chance.

HCFR spokesman told ABC News that the dog was well mannered and well trained. “So we knew right away it that it was somebody’s dog,” Spokesman Corey Dierdorff said.

After posting information and a video about the lost puppy on its Facebook page, and receiving more than 35,000 views, the owners showed up and took Chico home. He had been missing for a day before showing up at the fire station, the television network reported.

"We are all so happy for a happy ending to this story!” the fire house posted on Facebook.
