A firefighter was killed and two were injured in Tijuana when they were trapped under a burning three-story building when it collapsed.

According to the La jornada Baja California, the fire occurred on Monday night in the Punta Bandera neighborhood of Playas de Tijuana along the scenic road to Rosarito.

The Red Cross and other municipal agencies in Tijuana responded to the scene.

The Ministry of Communication and Transportation reported the accident affected the circulation of the scenic road. No cause of the fire has been reported.
