She is charged with reckless driving and assault on a police officer.

The driver who crashed into a Horry County pumper earlier this week was denied bond in court Friday morning.

Sinksar Bahru Solomon, 57, drove into Horry County Engine 23 Tuesday after telling firefighters she was tired of being harassed by the police.

Solomon was originally charged with reckless driving and the charge of assault on a police officer was added, according to MyrtleBeachOnline.com.

Conway police were requested to assist Coastal Carolina University officials with an irate driver Tuesday afternoon.

Firefighters were at the intersection of Founders Drive and S.C. 544 when they stopped to check on the woman.

Solomon told a firefighter, “I’m sick of police harassing me,” according to the news website. The firefighter replied “I’m a firefighter ma’am.”

The woman yelled at the firefighters who were approaching before driving her vehicle into the pumper.

Witnesses said Solomon got out of her car and continued to yell at firefighters until police arrived and detained her.

She initially refused treatment from EMS, but later request assistance and was taken to the hospital.
