July 18--Three new hires with the Warren, OH, Fire Department are being hailed as heroes after saving a veteran colleague who collapsed at their fire house.

WFMJ reports that an unidentified Warren firefighter in his 40s said he wasn't feeling well before suffering a heart attack Monday, and three new department hires -- Brock Trimmer, Sebastian Zlotkavski, and Ronnie Simone -- took action with their training as paramedics.

Two of the three young men took turns doing chest compressions while the other rushed to retrieve an external defibrillator. They continued performing CPR for about 10 minutes, and Captain Al Brown of the Warren Fire Department told WFMJ that two Warren police officers also assisted.

After their life-saving efforts, members of the department said they felt very fortunate to have hired Trimmer, Zlotkavski and Simone.
